2. How are the bags made?

We collect bicycle innertubes from our generous partner bike shops every other week.

We also collect used sailboat sails that were being thrown away from Innerbanks Sails and Canvas in Oriental, NC. They will be used as liner for bags.

Back at the shop, we cut the tubes into strips and patch any holes.

The tubes are soaked overnight in a non-phosphate detergent solution and then washed.

Sherry sews the parts together & ... a bag is Born!
